Born and raised in the Philippines, I moved to Kamuela on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1999 after spending several years in Washington D.C. and San Francisco, CA. My background in computer software development allows me to take advantage of technologies that benefit my real estate clients, while my extensive network of resources here on the Big Island helps me assist buyers and sellers with all aspects of their real estate transactions.

We were listed on the market for six years with six different realtors to no avail. In the 6 years we never received even one offer, causing us much stress and frustration. We had originally purchased our home for $2,000.000.00, but after the "Great Recession", we tried listing prices ranging from $2,000,000.00 down to $1,500,000.00, which was the price we were listed at for a whole year. Through all of the six years, James Batol had been sending us letters asking us to give him the opportunity to let him try to sell it for us. James recommended that we list the home at $1,400,000.00 which still did not get us an offer for 8 months. Then finally he advised us to reduce the price to $1,300,000.00 when we received offers ranging from $1,095,000.00 with two offers for $1,200,000.00. Through negotiation back and forth with the potential buyers, we were able to get the selling price to our original listing price of $1,300.000.00, which satisfied our mortgage owed. "In 2017, we were looking to buy a house or land on the Big Island of Hawaii. We stopped in at Clark Realty in Waimea and James was the first person to help us. For us, that was the best chance encounter we had made in years. James showed us and took us to visit an extensive array of properties in the Waimea area. We made an offer on one property but failed to connect on price. During that process we discovered we were looking at the wrong part of the island. We needed to be looking at the Kona area. We ran out of time and had to go back to the mainland. Before we came back in 2018 to look at more properties in the Kona area, we consulted with James and he counseled us on how to be financially prepared to buy a property in the fast paced Hawaii market. When we arrived in Hawaii, James spent three solid days with us, showing us all the properties in our target area and within our financial capabilities. Then James let us have time to mull over all that we had seen. While we were thinking about the properties James had showed us, we were also expanding our parameters and in that expansion, we found a property that fit many of the items on our wish list. James did an exemplary job of representing us on this property. There were a lot of detailed documents in the purchase of this property and we had a lot of questions about many of the documents. James was our conduit to the source for the answers to our questions. We had scores of questions and James was always there to guide us to the key person who had the answers to our questions. We ended up buying this property thanks to the patience of James and his skill level throughout the purchase process. We will go straight to him on our next purchase of a rental property."

"I’ve always had the goal of investing in a house in Waimea. I’ve contacted James Batol for his real estate services since I knew him from church and his wife who is a physician in my hometown. "I would like to take a moment to thank you, your courteous staff, and in particular James Batol for representing me in the purchase of a house in Kailua-Kona. I had several agents recommended to me by friends. James was recommended to me by the sister of a friend. My wife and I went to the Big Island to meet the realtors we had talked to from the mainland. When we met James he had a list of homes meeting our desires for type, price and location. James had researched the records for sales of similar properties over the past year.
